Patrice Rondelle - The Lost Interviews

As a scrappy defenseman on the 1948 University of New Brunswick team, Patrice found his passion. Estranged from his native Quebec and struggling with Maritime English, Patrice escaped to the ice rink for hours each day.

1951 marked an exciting growth spurt for Patrice as he rose to the professional ranks in the inaugural season of the Western Hockey League (WHL) Calgary Stampeders and immediately attracted attention as points leader. Patrice stayed on through the infamous 1953-4 season when the Stampeders won the Lester Patrick cup.
Patrice finally returns home in 1956 to join the Montreal Canadiens as they secure the Stanley Cup for what would be the first of five consecutive Cup wins under famed Canadiens coach Toe Blake.
